Description
A handsome welsh oak settle dating to around 1800, this came from a Derbyshire estate. It is a great piece for an English cottage, a pub with history, or a hallway. It combines useful seating with storage space on the board beneath, where boots and shoes might be kept.
- Panelled back.
- Base board.
- Turned legs.
- Visible joints.
- What appear to be initials carved into the centre of the front apron, perhaps "J H".
