Advertising gilt and ruby glass panel
An Edwardian gilt painted and ruby glass advertising window. Hand painted gilt lettering on a dark ruby coloured glass would have been fitted to a shop window. W & A Gilbey wines and spirits was started by Walter and Alfred Gilbey who opened the first wine shop in Oxford street in 1857. This window would date from around 1900.
