Gentleman's original Antique bright silver chrome pocket watch chain Art Deco escargot 'Acme' whistle fob (by Joseph Hudson & Co) in full working order. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 5.3cm height (including the top ring), 1.8cm wide and weighs a very respectable 14.7 grams. Escargot (snail) form bright silver chrome whistle which is stamped to the front; THE ACME REG'D ENGLAND and is beautifully stamped to each side in slightly raised arched script; THE ACME ENGLAND and carries the makers initials (in Art Deco script); Jhco (Joseph Hudson, established in Birmingham, England in 1870). Carries a patent number to the back; PATENT 214519/24. Still retains the original cork ball - the noise of the whistle is very loud and shrill. Big robust and secure steel top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with just one or 2 small indentations and a little bit of light overall patina / wear / small surface scratches commensurate with age.
