This Chippendale design mahogany fret Mirror is in lovely condition.
The frame is a traditional fret design, a design that is forever in vogue. This quality mahogany frame is in good condition with no chips nibbles or scratches. The bird design at the top of the frame is a mythical Japanese design known as a ho-ho bird and is associated with good fortune, it is a typical period adornment as is the inlaid design on the bottom of the Mirror.
The gold inlaid piece between the fret and the Mirror plate is also in good condition and gives a good indication of the age of the Mirror. The plate is a single Mirror plate with a deep bevelled edge all round.
The plate is in good condition with no silver loss and a small surface scratch which when hung is negligible.
This mirror is original and has not been changed at any time, this can be seen via the backside of the Mirror which is all original.
This is a stunning piece that would enhance any living space.
